| Kim wanted to start out the chat with the following message… Kim - My dearest Rosie, I hope and pray that you will continue to fight the good fight because I can't imagine not reading your wonderful comments that you make on a daily basis and know how loved and adored you are. Not only by your family, but this family here at KZFC. Erin - If you could play any prime-time character for one day, who would it be and why? Kim - Ally McBeal, because I'd love to work with Robert Downey Jr. Lauren - I have been enjoying the beginning of Reva's time-travel story. Can you give us any insight into what is coming up next with it? Are you enjoying the way it's been going? Kim - The entire cast that is involved in this story is having a ball. We laugh and giggle every day and can't wait for the next script, which is unusual in recent history. I read scripts for next week that will be taping, which of course you won't see for another 3 weeks and all can say is that it is good old fashioned soap opera. However, it is in the past during the Civil War. Amanda - Has a fan ever appeared on your doorstep? Kim - I have had people who have been on my doorstep not knowing it's where I live…only to have them totally freak out when I answer the door. Debbie - Have you ever had any award show bloopers or moments that you wish hadn't been airing live? Kim - I have a lot of moments that I wish I could take back, but none that I'm ashamed of. Rachel - In all your years as a star, has anyone else wanted or tried to do a fan club or website for you? Why did you pick Shelli to do both? Kim - All I can say is that SHELLI IS THE BEST and she puts up with my s**t and she's very patient with me. Jenn - It's been stated on your message board that Alan actually admires and respects Reva more than Josh has in the past. Do you find this to be true? How do you view the Alan/Reva relationship? Kim - I don't believe that I've ever heard it stated that Alan respects Reva more than Josh. People may disagree with me on that, but I do believe that Alan has an intense love of women in general, whether it's me, Annie or Olivia. I love working with Ron and I think their relationship now could be a lot of fun. Now that we don't have to be "in love". Melissa - Yankees or Mets? Kim - Oh, Mets. I think the Yankees team is cuter, but I do love my Mets. Subway Series baby. Except I think Seattle is going to take it all. Jessica - What do you think about fans and the Internet? Kim - Well my experience with fans on the Internet is limited to Media Domain, which of course can't stand me, and our wonderful fan club site. Enough said. You've got to take the good with the bad. Terrie - Thanks for all your hard work, Kim. You are wonderful! In a recent interview in TV Guide with Michael Logan, you previewed that we'll see Josh in various other roles in Reva's new time travel storyline. Will Josh, in these other characters, and Reva have any romantic scenes together? Kim - They do definitely have that heavy-duty chemistry going. Right now we're only working on the Civil War and we've had a lot of hand touches and eye locks. But, that's it. I don't believe in any of the times in the past, that there will ever be a kiss. I would like to see that happen first in real time, but not anytime soon. Gina - Do you feel that the physical body image of ladies, not just on GL but on all of TV and film, is influencing young teen girls in such a way that many are developing eating disorders? Kim - I would definitely have to agree that the physicality that is being portrayed in our young girls in television, especially these days, could possibly contribute to the need to be skinny or anorexic. I know that exists, but I hate it. Nicole - If you could bring back one character from Reva's past to stick around SF, who would it be? Kim - I think it would definitely be my sister Roxie. But it would have to be Kristi Ferrell playing the role. There was something very special about her. And, for Melissa's benefit, Noah. Brenda - Do you sign autographs through the mail? Do you answer fan mail? Kim - I hate to admit it because it's been a New Year's resolution for many years to answer fan mail but as of now, much to Shelli's disdain, I've been a very bad girl. Tracey - How would you suggest to TPTB the best way to straighten Josh up and make him love Reva as she is, not as he wants her to be? Do you think they might gloss over any groveling Josh should do and put Jeva together by the end Kim - My gut feeling is to say that yes, they will have Reva just accept him immediately but I will do everything I can to make sure he gets down on his hands AND knees and begs and proves himself worthy of Reva Shayne. But, that's not to say I'll take him back. But, if they have their way, there will probably be a reconciliation by the end of the year. BUT, I have no guarantees for that, they may have something else totally planned. Just from past experience, that would be my gut reaction. Ashley - Do you think parents today should be concerned with all the violence on TV and in the movies? Kim - Ooh, that's a tough question. I think it's a parent's responsibility to know the exact content of a movie and knowing their children best themselves, whether or not they should be allowed to see it. Lynn - The charity auctions are great. I loved the assortment of items and the opportunity to bid on such incredible stuff. Will you be having more auctions like these in the future? Kim - We have a few things to surprise you with and more to come! Shelli - Do you think Reva will ever totally snap? Kim - In the show we taped today, I have a conversation with Felicia and she's the first person I see after my first 'return' from the past and she thinks I'm nuts. Except, at the same time, as a therapist she's intrigued. She will be Reva's new best buddy. Natalie - Kim, I am majoring in Music Theatre and there's SO much I would like to ask you! How do you like theater compared to TV? What's it like being in front of all those people that are there to see you? Kim - Theatre was my first love, and always will be. There's nothing like the feeling you get from a live audience. Television gives you too much of an opportunity to dissect everything you're doing. I love live theatre. Tanya - How is morale at the studio? Kim - Morale at the studio seems to be very positive these days. People seem to be very happy with their storylines. But, we still have a lot of storyline separation. What I mean is that there is no one story that is crossing over yet. Allison - What are your opinions about the large number of new characters coming onto the GL canvas? Kim - With new head writers, you always have an influx of new characters and over time they either stay or they go. Personally, I happen to think that our most recent additions are fabulous and I believe there's a place for each and every one of them at this time. I think these writers have succeeded in keeping everyone visible and working, which is a lot more than I can say for recent years. Beth - What do you consider to be your greatest strengths and greatest weaknesses? Kim - I think my greatest strength is my ability to communicate with everyone I meet, meaning that I love people and I think I have a wonderful sense of humor and desperately try to find that humor and laugh at least 100 times a day. It's therapeutic. My greatest weakness is that I'm totally disorganized. Erica - Do you miss Mark Dobies? If Noah was still around, where would you have liked to have seen the Nova story go next? Kim - I miss Mark so much. He was my best friend at the studio and we had the best conversations. If he were still here, I would like to have seen Reva and Noah realize that they couldn't really be married, but that they could be a man and a woman who were best friends. Somewhat like H.B. was to Reva, and the same for Noah. What I wish they had done with Noah was to capitalize on Mark's incredible charisma and make him a George Clooney type doctor who had all of the women of Springfield at his beckon call. And Reva would catch him in various situations and enjoy it. Shelli - They want to know if you'll be at the Gathering. Kim - Yes, I'll be there! Lisa - Why do you think that the women in Josh's life recently such as Annie and Olivia are so obsessed with Reva? Olivia was way into Reva's life even before Liv met Josh. Kim - My reaction to that question would be...According to the writers, it's Reva who becomes obsessed with the women in Josh's life. That seems to be the way the writer's choose to portray it. After all, it was Josh who married these women. Kim - (reacting to chat room speculation about Mark's career plans) In reference to Mark, he's not on another soap. I think he's going to wait awhile before he has an interest in that. For now, he's pursuing feature films. And, I believe Lin and the girls were going out to see him in L.A. this week. Rebecca - Do you collect anything? Kim - I did collect beanie babies, however I always said I was buying them for my son. But, truth be told, they were for me. As a girl, I used to collect glass dogs. My daughter, Rachel, has them now. Chelsea - What is your astrological sign and do you think you fit in the stereotype of it? Kim - My astrological sign is Aquarius. I would have to say that I pretty strongly resemble the characteristics of an Aquarian, good and bad. April - What is your ultimate fantasy "never, ever going to happen" storyline for Reva? Kim - I think the storyline that we'll never see happen is Reva and Tony Santos...LOL, giggle, giggle, giggle. Lindsay - How do you determine or evaluate success? Kim - Through your happiness. If you're happy doing what you are doing, then you'll be successful. Tanya - In all your roles that you have played and with so many different men, who is the one male actor that you really enjoyed working with the most? Kim - A. Martinez. KZFC - What words of wisdom do you have for the KZFC members this month? Kim - Since we're so close to the events of September 11, I would have to say to everyone please enjoy life each and every day. Respect your fellow human beings and find a reason to laugh from the time you get up in the morning to the time you go to bed at night. AND, watch Guiding Light, or I'll hunt you down! LOL |
