Jennifer - I have read your comments in the press about possibly leaving GL when your contract expires in June. What are your present feelings about that possibility?

Kim - There are a lot of elements that will go into my decision come June. One major one is that they allow me to have a month off this summer to go to Australia to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. You need at least three weeks to spend between Australia and New Zealand. We'd like to take all of the children and experience that country together. And also, professional outs are going to be important as well in my desire to pursue a theatrical career again.

April - Can you give us any insight on what kind of scenes you filmed at the studio before it closed for the holidays?

Kim - I believe everyone is aware that Reva is receiving what we thought were crank calls. But in reality, they will turn out to be very real threats by someone who is extremely angry about something. (laughs) I will say that Robert and I shared a number of scenes with Signey Coleman playing Annie but from what I understand, it won't be more than just those three days.

Nicole - Congratulations on your Soap Opera Digest Award nomination! How did you find out you were nominated?

Kim - I think I read it on our board. (laughs) Because I think it was a week that I was only in the studio once, and when I got back, there were flyers in everyone's mailboxes announcing nominees. I feel very honored by the nomination but I will miss going to L.A. for the big party.

Michelle - You were onstage twice this year in "Dirty Blonde" and "3 O'Clock in Brooklyn." How much theater work would you like to do in the upcoming year?

Kim - I would really love to pursue the possibility of either creating a role in a musical next year or perhaps going in as a replacement in a show like "Mamma Mia." I am hoping to start doing some serious vocal work after the first of the year. I feel like I've been saying that for two years now. But, now I mean it.

Megan - What are your opinions on Millee Taggart's departure as head writer? Also, have you met John Conboy and do you have thoughts on his vision for the show and for Reva?

Kim - I am sorry to see Millee go. I feel like she had a voice for Reva, with Reva's newfound maturity as a character. But yet, she still wanted Reva to be fun. And she wanted to challenge me. I have spent quite a bit of time with John Conboy. I think the man is class personified. I think he will be very good for the show. I feel like John wants to keep Reva active. But saying that and doing it are two different things. I have also met Ellen Weston, who didn't remember that I had done a TV movie that she had written in which I played the title character. ("The Disappearance of Vonnie")

Christina - Is Jonathan going to come back to Springfield as a teenager? What do you think about Signey Coleman coming back to the show as Annie?

Kim - I don't know, honestly, at this point what they're doing with the Jonathan character. Or if there are even plans to bring him back. But, I'm hopeful that we will see Jon's presence in Springfield. I adore Signey. I don't mind that the character of Annie is back, knowing it is on a very limited basis. I cannot, and will not take another stroll down the Annie highway and neither will Robert.

Julie - What are some of the nicest things fans have done for you?

Kim - Sent me Christmas tree ornaments. I happen to be a Christmas crazy person and my tree nearly toppled over with ornaments this year. Thank you all. Not to mention the beautiful watch.

Tgirlz2 - If there hadn't been an EP change as well as a head writer change, do you think the conclusion to the "pulling the plug" story could have been different and if so, in which way?

Kim - I think they were always looking to have Cassie come away from this experienced, a stronger woman. And I think they always intended for Reva to put Cassie first. I believe that was their decision from the beginning.

Rachel - What soap character from another show would you love to see cross over to GL?

Kim - I think that Reva and Victor Newman could have some fun. I would also love to see Reva and Lucinda Walsh go into some sort of foreign diplomacy. You know, save the world. (laughs)

Amy - Have you ever thought of recording a CD for your fans, like Saundra Santiago did?

Kim - I really have to do that. I just would have a hard time deciding on what songs and style to do it in. It would probably have to be a 4 CD set. One of these days.

Melissa - How would you feel about Larkin Malloy coming back as Kyle and have you had any recent contact with him?

Kim - I spent about twenty-five minutes hanging with Larkin at the GL Christmas party and I dragged him over to meet Matt Bomer (Ben) so he could meet his son. And strangely enough, they resemble each other. I would love to see him come back. I also had a recent conversation with Maeve Kinkaid (Vanessa) and asked her if I could start throwing her name around as well. And she said, "Yes!"

Natalie - In regard to how Reva is currently being written, how close is it to the way you know Real Reva would act and feel and respond?

Kim - I don't know who Reva is anymore. So, I can't really answer that question right now. But when I hear her, you'll be the first to know.

Erica
- Did you have a nice Christmas? Do you have big plans for New Year's Eve?

Kim - Our Christmas was very quiet and fast Christmas morning because we had to get packed and take off. We were going off to the mountains of Lake Placid for five days where we had a truly magical time. The village of Lake Placid is so much fun and there is so much to do. Our Christmas Eve was spent with family, A.C.'s, and several straggler friends. And our New Year's Eve plans are once again to host Laura and her family, Beth Ehlers and her family, and other various local friends from Montclair.

April - Answering fan mail at all?

Kim - The only real mail we get now are the emails and I can't make any promises.

Nease
- We're all in agreement here that A.C. is a HOTTIE!

Kim - Thanks, I think he is too!

Tanya
- You and Laura nailed the scenes of Richard's death. How did you deal with those scenes, did you leave the sadness at the studio or take some of it home with you?

Kim - I was able to leave it at the studio. I don't know about Laura, we never really discussed whether she took it home, because after all we are just characters. And she has two small children to worry about at home.

Kevin - How do you feel about the new system in place for the Emmy nominations this year? Do you think it will solve problems or create new ones?

Kim - It's so hard to say at this time, because we really haven't done anything to further the process. All we've done so far is fill out our registrations, our voter registrations. There was a big push at the studio to get everyone to join the academy so we'd all be able to vote. I like the way the new system sounds. It will create more nominations for smaller casts. I'm hoping that it is successful. All we can do is wait and see.

Brenda - Kim we loved seeing you in Kansas! When are you coming back to the Great Mid-West?

Kim - As soon as Shelli invites me.

Tgirlz2 - Do you agree with the fact that Reva has accepted Tony and has not had the same reaction as Josh?

Kim - No, I have a problem with Reva's instant acceptance of Tony, except that she doesn't want to make an enemy of her daughter now that they do have somewhat of a dialogue. So, I think Reva's acceptance is more selfish in regard to her relationship with Marah than her acceptance of Tony. But he is awfully cute.

Erin - Are there people in your life currently who you think you crossed paths with in a past life?

Kim - I am a big believer that everyone you cross paths with, you've crossed paths with before. I feel like I'm an old soul and have been around the block a few times.

Meredith - You and Robert Newman seem like great friends, you're perfect for each other on-screen and I was curious if you get into funny little fights as Reva and Josh do?

Kim - Oh, Robert and I have had some doozies. But, just like in real life, they usually end in laughter. We are like an old married couple. And neither of us holds a grudge ever.

Barb - I have loved all of your scenes for 2002 and you are awesome with them all - what was your favorite scenic that you did this past year?

Kim - It's so hard to remember the last year. But, I remember a little scene that was nothing, in Richard's hospital room where I sang to him after he'd passed which was then followed by the sanctuary scenes, which were good, dramatic scenes for me.

April - Kim, first off let me say hello and thanks for doing a chat with your fans! My question is who would you as Kim and as Reva like to see come back as a full time character?

Kim - Probably Vanessa. I think there's a lot of room for her right now.

Rosie1952 - Kim, if you could play any role on Broadway, which role would it be and why?

Kim - I would, at the moment, like to play the mother in "Mamma Mia" or Martha in the remake of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe?" to Al Pacino's George. Or Alec Baldwin's.

Kevin - What did you think of "Hairspray"?

Kim - I loved "Hairspray" and I loved seeing Laura Bell Bundy up on the Great White Way. It's where she was meant to be.

Rachel
- Can you put an end to an ongoing board argument...is it "soda" or it is "pop"?

Kim - Well, until I was 18, it was pop. But now it's definitely soda.

Nicole - Do you believe in love at first sight?

Kim - I do. I loved A.C. the moment I saw him and I believe my mother would tell you that that was the man I was going to marry on first sight.

Megan - What's the best movie you've seen lately?

Kim - I just saw "Catch Me If You Can," it wasn't the best, but it sure was good. The best would have to be "The Two Towers." I'm in love with Viggo (Mortensen, who plays Aragon). He's a HOTTIE.

Stephanie - How does it feel to know that the people rely on you in some way for guidance?

Kim
- They do? Unless you're referring to my kids, I don't possibly know where you'd get such an idea!!! (laughs)

Natalie - What are you most proud of accomplishing as an actress?

Kim - Being able to keep my sanity with all the ups and downs of Reva Shayne. Trying to maintain the character's integrity. And I hope that I can continue that.

KZFC
- Lastly, is there any message you'd like to get out to the fan club members at this time?

Kim - Just to once again, and always thank you for your constant and loving support. And your interest in my portrayal of what I believe to be one darn exciting character ;)  I wish you all a fabulous and happy new year and hope that I can continue to entertain you to the best of my abilities in the coming year.
