Krista - Have you met Lucky Gold yet? Do you believe that he has a firm grasp on who Reva Shayne is and that he will get her back on the track that previous writing teams have taken her off of through badly handled storylines such as the blind story?

Kim - It's not just the previous writing team, it's been the writing team since I came back in 1995 who don't seem to understand who Reva Shayne is. I have met Lucky, and I felt very confident about one particular thing he said to me in a meeting we had which I can't go into at this time. But he, Lucky, seemed to understand the character better than what I believe anyone up to this point has. All we can do is wait and see.

Kevin - The earthquake scenes looked like a tremendous amount of work. How hard were they on both of you physically, mentally and emotionally?

Kim - Physically, I'll answer first, Mark, (Mark says, "Physically you had a hard time there, didn't you?") they hurt because you never knew when the last tremor or the next bounce was going to come. So my back hurts. I also got debris in my eye.

Mark - Poor baby.

Kim - Oh shush! But I believe it was all worth it because I happen to think the earthquake looked fabulous. Emotionally it was tough because I knew that it was the demise of the Noah character.

Mark - The toughest thing for me was having a big pillar of fire come down out of the sky and to fall over a statue. And, it wasn't my own doing.

Shelli - (laughs) That's on the net.

Kim - That's on the net? They saw him kind of stumble backwards?

Mark and Shelli explained it was in a write-up on Soap City.

Mark - And also, it was hard rubbing Kim's back because it was sore. That was my job, it was tough (laughs). It was fun to do. I think the situation added to the dialogue. It heightened what we had to say. It made it a little bit more fun, and I didn’t particularly like the demise of my character either. (laughs)

Julie - Ricky Paul Goldin has mentioned in an internet posting that Gus and Reva will be working together. Can you enlighten us on that at all?

Kim - We will be working together but barely. I think he's a wonderful addition to the show and I think they're going to use him in such a way that he will be the link between a lot of different stories, which is wise. Bu the rumors about a romance between the two are very, very farfetched. He would need to grow another six inches. (LMAO)

Natalie - How did your fan club come to be, because you have mentioned in various interviews that you are computer illiterate. Thanks for everything you do for us!

Kim - I have a wonderful woman named Shelli Miller who convinced me subtly that it's something I needed to do and she was right. I love her.

Natalie - Since the creation of the KZFC as well as your posts on the message board, have you become better aquatinted with using your computer?

Kim - No, no time!

Shelli - Mark?

Mark - Right, well you're asking the wrong person, I ask my wife.

Nekea - Has kissing on-screen so much made either of you a better kisser in real life?

Mark - (laughs and laughs and laughs) No way, I had it down back from the moment I was born.

Kim - My husband happens to be an incredible kisser. So is Mark.

Mary - I enjoyed seeing you in the "Sweet Bird of Youth" reading back in March. Do you have plans to participate in any future productions in Nyack?

Kim - I am hoping to do a reading of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe?" with Jerry verDorn as George and myself as Martha. Hopefully also with Liz Keifer and I don’t know who will play the young professor yet.

Shelli - When would that be?

Kim - Maybe February at the GL studios.

Lou Ann - Any other plans to perform live?

Mark - Not right now but if anything comes up, it would be great. I'll be out in L.A. next week and more than likely be doing stuff on TV. If something comes up live here, well, we’re bicoastal, so it's all up in the air.

Kim - I am hoping to resurrect my long lost club act. I am toying with titles right now. The one I like best is "Because I Want To, Dammit!" meaning I will sing all the songs I want to sing, not for any particular reason, just because I like them.

Nicole - Hi Kim, can you give us any kind of preview about Reva's upcoming time-travel storyline?

Kim - I really don't know the particulars of it as of yet. However, I know it won't just involve me but will also involve several other Springfield residents who have been a part of Reva's life, I guess for all eternity. Once again, I am hopeful and I just hope I don't get screwed again. We didn't start taping it. We are nowhere near that.

Sharie - If there was one dream storyline you could choose for Reva, what would it be?

Kim - A story that is based in simplicity and reality…like Harper Valley PTA. (laughs) Or, you know, I've got teenage kids. There are all kinds of possibilities.

Kevin
- If there was one Reva/Noah scene that either of you could have changed what would it be and why?

Kim - The last one, changed to where he decides not to leave.

Mark
- Boy, you're going to hate this. I would say…

Kim - The day you had to say you love me.

Mark - Exactly, and I'm saying that because it would have allowed both of these characters to explore what they really meant to each other as friends and the weaknesses of both characters. It could have gone so, so far because the characters are so flawed. That was the kiss of death right there.

Kim - He stole that from me because I said it from the minute "I love you" was said. I knew the character was in trouble the minute he said he loved me.

Mark - Although he did mean it, he threw his heart into it.

Lisa - Kim, on a more personal note, how do you keep your figure and skin looking so great?

Kim - (laughs) Thank you, but I am really bad. I wash my face with soap and water.

Mark - And she gets too much sun.

Kim - And I get too much sun, according to Mark.

Mark - I chastise her. Although I did get a lot of sun this past week with my family on the shore.

Kim - But I feel good when I'm tan and I love the sun so I don't care what Mark Dobies said.

Elena - Kim, do you have any upcoming appearances scheduled? Will you be at the GLFC Gathering this year?

Kim - I will be at the Guiding Light Fan Club Gathering and I will probably be performing at Martha Byrne's St Judes Event. And will no doubt be at the bowling event as well.

Lauren - The Reva/Richard story during the summer of '99 received a huge amount of build-up and "Revard" fans were born from that. Do you feel that the Reva a.k.a. Princess Catherine/Richard story was ended too abruptly or that their relationship didn't provide the proper closure because of the quick and neatly wrapped up ending?

Kim - I would love to address that. I think they really blew it with the Reva/Richard relationship. They based so much of Reva's problems with Josh on this past life I had with Richard but yet you never saw any manufactured flashback as to when they were in love so the audience had no reason to invest in Reva and Richard. So, when he crossed eyes with Cassie, of course the audience would go with that route because they were seeing it from the beginning rather than having the storyline forced down their throats with no justification for it. The audience was being asked to believe that Reva was in love with someone other than Josh, without ever seeing the love.

Jamie - Can you shed any light on internet speculation that Josh will be revealed as Jonathan's father? Are there any plans to bring Jonathan back on the GL canvas?

Kim - They are so afraid of anything that has to do with Reva and Richard in San Cristobel that I doubt they will ever address the Jonathan issue. I don't believe that they'd ever have Josh turn out to be Jonathan's father.

Tanya - Mark, Is there a particular scene or moment as Noah that sticks out in your mind as a defining moment for the character?

Mark - There were so many in the beginning and they lost touch with it. I have said this before and I really mean this…The reason I love this character so much is because there was a dark side to him. There were a couple of scenes that he sold his soul, not directly but it was inferred. There was a scene where he spoke to Reva about his mother and he swore to himself become a doctor. The only way to do that was to sell his soul to the agency. That gave him the multidimensional character that I love so much. There were many scenes with Edmund that were cut. But that Reva moment showed me what Noah was all about. He was ready to do things borderline to justify the end, specifically when he told Reva about his mother dying.

Stacey - What are the things you believe must happen before Reva and Josh could ever reunite?

Kim - He needs to apologize big time and grow his beard back and gain some weight.

Kerri - During the blind story, did you have any physical side effects of your own (headaches, etc)?

Kim - Nothing physical outside of the frustration of not being able to use people's eyes as an acting vehicle in a scene.

Mark - Can I say something? It was especially difficult for me because I was afraid to look her in the eyes. I felt I was intruding on her. When she got her eyesight back and looked at me in a scene, it was like, "Oh my God, she got her eyesight back." It was like a door opened up. It was really hard.

Kim - When Reva, you haven't seen this yet, but the parting scenes, when she says to Noah, "It's so good to be able to see you again." It was Kim saying that to Mark. We got ripped off too…because during so many of our scenes, we weren't able to look into each other's eyes which is where you get everything.

Mark - But we made it work.

Rachel - Kim, I've had the privilege of seeing you bowl and play golf at the Ronald McDonald Celebrity Classic in June. How did you become such a good sports woman?

Kim - I have been an athlete from the day I was born. And I don't really consider bowling that athletic, or golfing.

Jane - Although the wonderful Mark Dobies is no longer with GL, do you think that you've built a long lasting friendship and are you planning to still spend time just "hanging out" when possible outside of work?

Kim - Yes!

Mark - Yes!!!! I found a soulmate. (Kim chimes in, "That's true, that's true!") Like I said before, it's like talking to a buddy that you've known all your life and a confidant I'll treasure forever, no matter where I am. And we will work together somewhere in some capacity.

Kim reads the "I love Mark"'s that people are saying in the chatroom. Mark replies with, "Well, I love the girls too."

Tanya - Kim, you and Laura Wright have great chemistry as sisters. When the two of you get together in a "fun" scene, do you adlib your lines? Or is it just natural chemistry that makes them so good?

Kim - We really stick pretty close to the script. Laura and I happen to be very much alike in real life except that she talks more than I do and she's a lot younger.

Mark - Come now.

Rebecca - Has there ever been anything printed about either of you in the magazines that was completely untrue?

Kim - Well, I remember my mother used to believe everything she read in Star Magazine until I was on the cover. It was a small picture of me on the cover and it said, "Zimmer walks away from multi-million dollar contract." I would never walk away from a multi-million dollar contract. Needless to say, Mom now knows you can't believe everything you read.

Mark - No, not at this point in my career.

Beth - Mark, when are you going out to L.A. and can you give us any information on the various things you have planned while you are out there?

Mark - I am leaving the 25th of August and we already have a lot of things lined up. There are so many projects in the works. I will keep you guys informed. Things look really, really good.

Kp102090 - What is the age difference between Kim and her sister Karen? How does their relationship compare with Reva and Cassie's?

Kim - There is four years difference between us. My sister is way older but they always think it's the other way. We are very different from Reva and Cassie. My sister doesn't mouth off the way Cassie does.

Amanda
-  If both of you could pair up with any actor/actress and do a movie together who would you choose?

Kim - I would choose Gary Sinise for a male and Meryl Streep for a female.

Mark - One of them is dead, Jimmy Stewart. I would have loved to have played opposite Jimmy Stewart and now, Paul Newman. And, I have said this before, for some particular reason I'd like to do some work with Molly Ringwald.

Melissa - Mark, how are your children doing? Is Olivia walking and talking? Did they both like the latest round of stuffed animals? :)

Mark - Olivia is walking and she's just starting to toddler talk. She's saying something, we just can't quite understand it. She's just basically being a toddler.  Frankie is older and more articulate than I am. They're doing great. I don't look at her as a 3 1/2 year old. She's going to give me a hard time. The stuffed animals are in the crib and bed right now, all named "Spangled", "Green" and "Rainbow". They love them.

Kp102090 - Would Kim ever like to work with her husband on daytime again?

Kim - I would love to work with him as an actor but he has no desire to act anymore. Now I want him to be an executive producer. He's so smart.

Lisa - Who has been the most inspirational person in your lives?

Kim - I've said this before, it was when my father said to me, "Just learn how to type." I refused to type and now I'm sorry. I never needed it before the internet.

Mark - My pop. Not to short change my mom, I love them both but my pop has been there for everything for me. Both of them have, I just have a kinship with my father.

Jane - Does Mark want a boy?

Mark - I would love to have a boy. I don't know if my wife is amicable to having another try. I love my girls so much but I would love to have a boy. You need a man's perspective in a house full of women, don't you? I'm the only guy.

KZFC - Is there any message that you would send out to the KZFC members at this time?

Kim - If you would like to see the character of Noah Chase return to Springfield, keep those cards and letters coming! And have faith in the time travel story. I know I've said that before but if we don't all stick together, it could be disastrous, so let's all be positive, please. I love you all so much and I thank you for supporting all the lovely work that Shelli and Melissa do, not to mention the video captures, thank you Rachel and Katrina. And the videos with the music are a killer. Good night!

Mark - Good night!
