| Triple Emmy winner Kim Zimmer will appear in the film "The Devil and Daniel Webster," directed by and starring her former castmate from The Doctors, Alec Baldwin (Billy), Zimmer played Nola. "It's not just me that he's using from The Doctors. Jim Pritchett, who played Matt Powers, is Alec's dad in the movie. It was always Alec's dream to give back to the people who were there for him when he was starting out," Zimmer explains. She portrays a Hamptons real estate agent who only has the best properties that money can buy. "His character, Jabez Stone, has sold his soul to the devil and, in the process, the devil has made him a woman magnet," she explains. "I sell him this house and I end up making love to him. He says one thing, and the next scene you see, we're in bed together." Zimmer enjoyed working with Baldwin again...as an actor and a director. She realizes her part could wind up on the cutting room floor, but it doesn't bother her. "Basically, what it was about was having a day to spend together in two lives that are very busy. It was a great opportunity for us to get together." Zimmer has also been named the honorary chair of the 2001 Ronald McDonald Celebrity Classic in Greenville, NC on June 21-24, to raise money for the four Ronald McDonald Houses in North Carolina. "I've participated in that tournament since 1985 when it was the Eastern Carolina Classic," says the avid golfer. "When Michael Jordan signed his first professional basketball contract, he donated $200,000 to the Ronald McDonald House of Greenville. They renamed it the Michael Jordan Celebrity Golf Classic." Jordan was unavailable this year, and because of her commitment to that charity, she was asked to chair the event. "I've got some really big shoes to fill, both literally and figuratively." |
