| SOD - You've been nominated seven times and won three of those. Is a nomination routine now? Kim - Oh, no! It's always exciting, and I haven't won in 13 years. Not that it's about winning, but when you do have several nominations, people think you get them all the time. And then when reality sets in, you realize you don't. I'm at the point now where I wouldn't let myself be nominated if I didn't think I had stuff that was worthy of a nomination. I had a good year so that makes it more special. SOD - How did you choose your reel? Kim - The kids in the office were good this year about keeping track of the shows they thought were good, so when we needed a show for the preliminary voting, they were able to give us suggestions. We're in debt to them. SOD - What scenes did you submit? Kim - They were all around Richard's death. SOD - What are you going to wear? Kim - I never really think about that until the week before. I'm kind of famous for going to some department store and just getting something off the rack. SOD - Have you thought about a speech? Kim - I never have in the past and it's always resulted in me making a fool of myself. So, this year, in particular, I have an idea of what I might say, but nothing really specific. SOD - Will you bring your husband? Kim - Yes, much to the chagrin of the boys. They just get too upset. The comments and the whole thing --- I can't go there anymore! |
