Kim Zimmer and her husband, A.C. Weary, are thrice-blessed. Already the parents of seven-year old Rachel and three-year old Max, they welcomed Jacob --- aka Jake --- into the world on Valentine's Day. "Jake is definitely a 'whoops' baby," laughs Kim. "He wasn't really planned, but it's great. The only time he cries is when he's starving, and Jake sleeps better than my other two ever did." Three children and two careers make for a hectic suburban New Jersey household. "I haven't slept through the night in eight years --- unless A.C. and I go away," admits Kim. "I'm used to surviving on a solid four hours a night. Your system adjusts."

Though Kim's pregnancies were "pretty easy," each one had its moments: "My pregnancy with Rachel --- even though I had terrible sciatic trouble --- was the biggest highlight of my life. The labor and delivery was twenty-two hours, which was a little rough. With Max, the pregnancy was good, except that the trials and tribulations of working got a little difficult. His labor was only four hours. With Jake, the pregnancy was a little harder, because it was like, 'The thrill is gone, OK? Let's just get this over with.' My back hurt, my skin was bad and he was nine days late, but when he decided to come, he came in two hours."

Kim's back working --- with Jake and a sitter in tow. Has GL ever discussed the delicate topic of her returning in shape? "They know better than to say anything to
me!" she chuckles. Three weeks after Jake's arrival, a trainer was putting the actress through her paces. After all, GL Head Writer Pam Long had "thoughtfully" written a striptease for Reva to perform. Nursing's hastened her weight loss, and Kim nurses her babies for eleven months.

A nanny holds down the front during the day, but she's off-duty at night. "When you had two, you could divide and conquer. Now, we've got this third little human being. Thank God, Rachel's a super kid," sighs Kim. "She goes with the flow. Max loves his brother, but he was angry for a while. He took it out on my husband and I: throwing fits, demanding attention, and wondering why Mommy doesn't have the time she used to have. I never thought I'd be able to conquer this, but between my husband and I --- and hired help --- we're winning the battle...

"I don't have time to study my scripts; I do it at the studio. I come to work a little unprepared now. I always have my lines down by tape time, but I usually have a script with me in dress rehearsals. It's three times as difficult --- and it's three times the joy. There's nothing more wonderful than getting home from a bad day at work and having your children throw their arms around you and give you the love we all so desperately need."
